Find Your Taste for Adventure with Apiece Apart

When you look at your wardrobe, what do you see? Does it represent you as you know yourself? Are you invigorated and excited...or do you feel a little uninspired, yearning for more adventure? As I get ready to turn my wardrobe over to spring (finally!), I can see the spirit of my clothing change. My summer wardrobe has a much more adventurous vibe than my winter wardrobe. The prints get bold and there’s definitely a lot more skin.As I consider my favorite designers overall, I’ve realized how they have a tendency to change according to the season. Apiece Apart happens to fall into the spring/summer love list. Knowing the story behind the creation of the collection, this makes sense. Lifelong friends, Laura Cramer and Starr Hout celebrated their 30th birthdays (born a day apart) with a road trip to West Texas and the idea emerged of a wardrobe that could be packed in a single bag with pieces that could be intermixed to create multiple looks. The brand is now 10 years old and has evolved along with the designers, who live only a block from each other in Brooklyn. The designers were recently interview by The Cut where they were asked about their favorite pair of jeans. Answer? The Apiece Apart Merida Jeans! I’ve been preaching the benefits of this style in the lighter fabric for spring, summer, and fall making it the alternative to denim.

Options like the Cosmos Convertible Dress make packing for your vacation a dream. It’s a dress and a skirt; versatile pieces in your spring/summer wardrobe are worth the investment when you consider the quality of cost-per-wear. Stripes, too! It’s really a no-brainer.

This makes the best alternative to a dress. It’s funny how once you get used to wearing pants on a daily basis, the idea of wearing a dress can feel quite alien. This is when the jumpsuit can be a solution to feeling dressed up while still keeping with the ease of your current style.
