Take A Peek Inside The Studio!

In July, we were featured in JCK Magazine's monthly edit, Store We Adore, thanks to our gorgeous interior. As most readers know, we renovated our showrooms a few years ago as part of our move upstairs, and we couldn't be more pleased with the result. Curious for a tour? Here's a quick peek at our lovely space:

The Showroom

Most of our quicker consultations are done in this room, and this is also where we feature our non-wedding related jewelry and independent designer collections. When I designed this space, I knew I wanted something that felt more like an amazing living room than a jewelry shop. I don't like crazy bright, overwhelming, traditional jewelry boutique layouts, so we aimed for something completely different.

Our Showroom was designed with the help of Lindsey Boudreaux of Shotgun Double Design (based on a recommendation from Amy at Penny Post - we loved their new shop, and Lindsey did the design for that, too). While I knew generally what I wanted - dark blue walls, lots of curves, gold accents - Lindsey was instrumental in getting the design past my initial concept and into reality. Lindsey was especially helpful in winnowing down the perfect blue paint color - something I didn't have the confidence to do without her help. (It's Pratt & Lambert Noir - we get asked a lot!)

The Gallery

This is a newer addition to our studio - we finished it last year right when COVID hit, which was too bad, but we have been happily using it since reopening, and we are so thrilled with the vibe. It's my office, plus we do our longer consultations here, and this is where we keep our wedding bands and engagement collections. This is also where we hold events, like our Juleps & Jiggers demonstration in the spring.

Tim's Office

Our third-floor office is Tim's design studio, where he works in private on putting together our design files. He also meets with clients for consultations here, but we are fully aware that climbing two steep flights of stairs isn't for the faint of heart, so we have most of our client meetings on the second floor. Little known fact: we also have a killer bar up here as a reward for the mountain climbers!

In addition to these three showroom spaces, we also have our general reception area on the ground floor as well as our workshop. In total, our tiny boutique is actually three stories! We're lucky to have so much space, but we put it to good use. If you're curious to read JCK's full coverage, check out the article here - they go into our history and design motivations.

And, in case you're wondering what happened to our old storefront, we opened a "sister studio" called The Seedling Collective that hosts pop-ups year-round. Make sure you follow The Seedling Collective to stay up to date on what's popping up!
