Literally, one day 301 Cameron Street in Old Town was a women’s store, and the next, it became a men’s store. It was like little Cinderella mice were there working through the night, unpacking and tagging and getting it all ready. Our UPS guy walked in and was like, “what happened in here?”

I am so excited for Yellow Jacket to take flight. We started the process late, so our selection will not be as wide this fall as it will be in the spring. But we have opened the doors with a great line-up so far. Everyone’s first question is always, “what lines are you carrying?” So we wanted to let everyone know what we have so far.

Here is the other great news about what we are offering this fall: does anyone else remember Britches? I mean, if that doesn’t bring back memories, I don’t know what does. But they are back, and they have sent us so many great things to have in stock over the holidays. I mean, who doesn’t need a Warthog rugby shirt?  I wish I still had mine from the early 90s.

We will be open seven days a week until the New Year, so 10am to 6pm Monday through Saturday and Sundays 12pm to 5pm. We are still figuring things out, and I know it will be a learning process, but we are so excited to add a men’s store to our block and to Old Town.

Come winter, we will hit the men’s show in Chicago to add some new lines to our selection, and we will remodel the space as well. But for now, welcome to Yellow Jacket. We hope to see you soon.
