Jeans, Jeans, & Jeans
Where did September go? Does anyone else feel that way? Last Wednesday, I was on a Zoom with my Citizens of Humanity and AGOLDE representative, and she asked if we were still doing the trunk show on October 1. Gulp. I had done nothing to prepare, and I was terrified to tell Shannon (as she was getting ready for the double Marion and W. Kleinberg Trunk Show) and see what she thought about being able to get prepared for the event. But, of course, in typical Shannon fashion, she was like, “let’s do it.” In my own defense, we had decided to make a last-minute decision because of production and stock availability, so it wasn’t totally my fault.
So, here we are, ready to do a second, well, kind of third, fall trunk show. Starting Friday, October 1, you can shop Citizens and AGOLDE and receive 20 percent off both collections.
This year, we don’t have as many options to order, but we restocked styles that we could, added some great new ones to our selection, have four styles that they sent us just for the trunk show, and samples of different colors and lengths of styles you can special order. Griffin, our amazing rep, is 37 weeks pregnant, so we kind of told her to stay in Richmond. But we are here to help you find the perfect fit for you!
If you would like my personal opinion on the difference in the brands (they are owned by the same people and have the same designers), I think AGOLDE tends to be a little more fashion-forward. As we all know, Citizens was one of the brands that started the premium denim category, and they have tried and true styles that remain our top sellers after five years in business.
Both are headquartered in Los Angeles, and Citizens is one of the few brands to be fully integrated, producing their product on their own machines in their own factories. They are committed to producing high-quality denim with an unparalleled fit and feel. I know most of us have a Rocket or Emerson in our closet. See how the denim is made here.
