Monday Musings
If you read one thing this week, let it be the piece Adrien of Alexandria Wellness wrote today. Without giving too much away - her words are so important to take in - you need this. Let's all heed her sage advice this week. I promise you won't be sorry.
Adrien: You've heard it from me before, but I'm back to say it one more time: intense cardio and restrictive dieting are NOT the way to breakthrough to the wellness and fitness you crave. So what's the secret? Our brains are on overdrive all day long, increasing stressful levels of cortisol, hindering our quality sleep, and wreaking havoc with our bodies. Slowing down, even for a few minutes each day, can help to break this harmful cycle. Pause now, take one minute to breathe deeply, and give your racing brain a moment of rest and silence. Your brain and body will thank you!
Elizabeth: We have been working hard to find great new gift items and accessories for Yellow Jacket. One line I am so excited to have is Timex. I mean, we all know they take a licking and keep on ticking. But slogans aside, they are classic, timeless, and affordable. Come check out our selection at Yellow Jacket - we have so many great new items. (Available at Yellow Jacket, $109 - $199)
Amy: We got our hands on TWSBI's newest limited edition wonder, the Diamond 580 Iris Fountain Pen. This pen features a clear demonstrator body with rainbow-colored iridescent trim and a stainless steel nib accented with iridescent color. Look how pretty! (Available at Penny Post, $82)
Britt: Summer heat is almost impossible to escape these days. Maybe it's the fact that I'm only about two weeks away from my due date, but I can't think of anything more inspiring to get me up and out of my air conditioning than a trip down to Belle Haven for a visit to Le Petit Anana Shaved Ice! Trust me and get the Tigers Blood shaved ice with condensed milk - my favorite go-to order every time! This happy little yellow truck can be found at 1201 Belle Haven Road outside the Shell station and is open 1pm - 8pm Monday - Sunday.
